The pilot behind Quizvds

Quizvds has been online since 2013 as a database of aviation exam quizzes. The site is run, developed and maintained by Mattia Guatta, a certified VDS pilot since 2013 and the owner of EGWeb, who looks after content, development and product direction.

As an active pilot, he knows first-hand what it takes to pass the theoretical aviation exam: which topics are covered, the common pitfalls, how the official test works and the typical mistakes students make during preparation. From this hands-on flying experience grew a project that today is the largest aviation quiz database in Italy.

How content is curated

Official sources

Questions are derived from EASA, FAA and national civil aviation authority regulations, flight manuals and licence-specific requirements.

Regulatory updates

When the relevant authority updates the regulations (e.g. STS-01 and STS-02 for drones), the content is updated accordingly.

AI explanations

Every question is paired with the correct answer highlighted and a detailed AI-generated explanation.
